Welcome to February's newsletter. This month we are celebrating the growth of our team with Dr Susan Reutzel-Edens joining as the new Head of Science. The CSD also continued growing – reaching 1.1 million crystal structures and we released a new data update. We are delighted to welcome Dr Susan Reutzel-Edens as Head of Science at the CCDC.
Susan has a brilliant career in science; from leading scientists developing commercially viable drug products to publishing over 50 papers and book chapters on solid form development. Having Susan on the CCDC team will support our mission to advance structural science by addressing critical challenges utilising the CSD and our scientific expertise.

The February 2021 CSD data update is now available! This release brings you 20,058 new structures (20,698 new entries) and increases the total size of the CSD to over 1.1 million structures. Read more
