• Are you a chemistry student at Undergraduate, Masters or PhD level?
  • Have you used any chemical sketching software in your work?

We would love to hear your feedback on any chemical structure drawing tools you have used, in a 30 minute interview to help us to understand your requirements for a new chemical structure web sketcher that we are developing.

  • Why are we doing this research?

The CCDC design and build software to aid structural chemistry research, which used by universities and companies around the world in drug discovery, materials design and more.

As part of the journey to evolve our software, we are designing a new chemical structure web sketcher that unlike other sketchers, is carefully tailored to crystallographic data.

  • What’s involved?

We would like to ask you a few questions about your current study and/or research practices. The interview would be held virtually and would require about 30 minutes of your time.

It would be helpful if you could share your screen and show us how you use structural drawing tools as part of the interview.

  • Recording

We would like to record the interviews for our own internal use. Recordings will not be shared outside of the session and all your feedback will be anonymized before it is reported back to the wider CCDC team.

If you would like to take part please send us an email here

Please include the following information:

  • Your name:
  • Your university:
  • Your study level: Undergraduate / Masters / PhD
  • Are you happy for the interview to be recorded?

You will then be contacted soon with more information and several day/time options to schedule the interview.

Thank you!
